Psalm 90:17

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us--yes, establish the work of our hands.

Summer is Coming to an End

Summer is winding down and the kids are headed back to school. This year, after 15 years of parenting, all 3 of my kids will be in school. I have already started working on new handbags and scarves for the fall.I am planning my fall/winter schedule for fairs and shops. I am also working on my studio. I need more space!!

Halloween

Halloween is a real treat in the town of Berlin, Maryland. This is where they filmed The Runaway Bride and Tuck Everlasting. Taking the kids out for trick or treat here is like taking a step back in time. All the old houses are all decked out and everyone is out walking around. We had a nice size group this year. My husband and I with our 3 kids, my sister with her hubby and their baby, our good friends Jasun and Allison with their 3 kids and Audra with her son. The kids had a blast and the weather was nice. We couldn't ask for a nicer way to take a break from work and get out with the kids.

I love Autumn

This is my favorite season of all. I live in a beautiful beach town that is too crowded to enjoy in the summer months. By September the crowds are gone, the beach is empty, and the weeds that have taken over my neglected garden are starting to die. The kids and I will begin to put our fire pit in the backyard to good use. I love to sit by the fire and knit outside. The fall leaves are a great inspiration for me.

My love of the trees in autumn are obvious in my shop.
